Another day in another world
Alrighty, so its another day at my job and things are more hectic than ever. One of the semi-past employees is up here trying to fix all the books. Can we say messy? Yeah, a major fat mess of yuck. It kind of leaves me in this weird world of limbo because I dont really know what Im supposed to do.
Who am I kidding? Im trying to write in Word so Im not online when Im typing stuff up. It ties up our phone line. Im allowed to get on the computer here, dont get me wrong, but I dont want to abuse the whole thing.
Anyhoo, Im trying to get things back into order around here. Here being the world of me. I have two goals for this week: Go to bed at approx. the same time each night. I need to get my sleep. With faire coming and everything, I need to get into some sort of schedule. A crabby, cranky blonde is not a fun blonde. (See Fun Blonde).
Just to give some of you a relax on your mental thought work, the whole shebang about references to things ie: (see above) goes back to when I was a younger one. I used to speak in what my family and friends would call blondese. It was my own personal language. Being the kind of smart ass I was, on day I wrote up a mini dictionary. Seriously, I wrote down all the words I used on a regular basis and gave them dictionary definitions and all the phonics stuff that goes with them. I think I scared some folk. *shrug*
Thats not really a new occurancce or anything. Its just the way things are. Back to the main topic at hand.
The second thing that I want to accomplish this week is finishing the bead work on my bodice. I started it last night and completed one curve section. It was a little harder than I was expecting it to be. With a little patience and a lot of ice and rest, I should have it finished by dress rehearsal.
I only think Im going to the bottom trim. Hopefully, the design works out. Theres also that whole question about whether or not I have enough thread to get through the whole design. Of course, hope of hope is that the design will turn out pretty. I really dont want to have to do the whole thing over again.
Now the dress the dress is amazing! My mom and I have worked so freaking hard on that thing and Im really, really excited. My one issue? The French hood. Ack! When I put that thing on with my dress it just screamed. It was so ugly compared to the rest of it. Im not really sure what my options are. I imagine there isnt very much I can do. The color contrast is the biggest issue. My dress is a deep red and blue and the black velvet just doesnt dance well.
Oh well.
Alrighty folks, Im done for the day. Ive written my speel and Ive got other mountains to crumble.

your dress sounds divine, but if you’re not happy with the hood is there any way you can remove it neatly? If not, just enjoy the beauty of the rest of it…and your evening. huggles
