Worst Date (WT)

What was your worst date like?
12th grade, senior year. Back in 2001. Seventeen years lived, boy crazy young thing I was. I decided I had a crush on good ole’ Bobby Lowe (the third). I’d known him since my first week as a freshman in high school.
We met during one of Mr. Howl’s famous "Alright children, we’re gonna watch this rehearsal play, okay? Silence please" speeches. A few rows back, nerdy Bobby Lowe sat with a childhood friend of mine, doing silly impressions, slouched from his theater seat. Of course us gals were giggling like crazy at Bobby’s little antics, which only futhered the flames. A few sshhhhhhh’s from Mr. Howl’s theater top seating in our direction did little to stop the fun. We turned and introduced ourselves and just had this connection. A deep friendship had already started forming. Bobby Lowe (the third). He looked just like a human version of Sideshow bob(without the crazy hair), and did the impersonation on a dime. So thats what I called him, and that’s what he answered to. A few years older than me, but we always stayed in touch.
Senior year, starting new with homeschooling. Slept in, did school for a few hours, chilled all day. Bobby and I started getting these crazy ideas that we would make a good couple. And we tried it. We went on our first offical date, to the movies. I can’t remember what we saw, I think Austin Powers 2. He cracked his tooth on popcorn, and I wasn’t feeling the mood. He ended needing a root canal. There just wasnt any real chemistry beyond friendship. A few half dates, and days later we decided to just remain friends. We’ve drifted since I moved, and I lost his number. I hope I can find him one day. I loved to tell him I married Chris, and find out about him. I hope he’s married and happy, and starting a family.
you were homeschooled too? i swear, the sleeping in was the best part.
