T-Mobile Is A SCAM *e*
T-mobile has scammed us good. Bascially when we bought the phone online we were told they were free. Now the website says they are only free after a mail in rebate. WE can’t get the rebate because we don’t have the boxes. So we found this out with our 259 dollar bill we just received. The point is, T-mobile is a SCAM, spread the word, to your friends, family, anyone planning on gettting a phone. BTW we are ina two year contract, and canceling would mean 200 dollars per line. DO NOT USE THEM!
*e* we have called t-mobile serveral times today, and no one was willing to help. Thanks to a noter, I have now filed a complaint with the BBB. This is what I logged to them:
Dear BBB Representative, Thank you for your time today. I’m complaining on the misleading information we received when purchasing T-mobile’s plan. We ordered the plan online at t-mobile.com, and we read the site carefully. The plan stated that with the purchase of the plan, we were to receive up to 5 phones free. At the time of signing up for the plan, the phone choices stated the retail value, and the web discount value. We were charged on December 11th, 2006 for 219.00 for what we thought was an activation fee, only to receive a bill today Jan, 19th 2007 for the activation fees and usage fees of 259.51. We have called T-mobile in shock and confusion serval times, spoke to supervisors and we were told we could not be helped, and to cancel it would be the bill plus an additional 200 dollars per phone. We received 4 phones with our plan. The 219.00 dollars we were charged on Dec 11th 2006, was not an activation fee, but the phone fee. One representative of t-mobile told us that the company switches what the phone plan says from day to day, and some days you get the phone free after a rebate, other days there is no rebate, just the web discount. Another rep told us that wasn’t true. We are frustrated, and feel that this is bad faith on t-mobile’s part. We would not have bought the plan had we known about the rebate. We searched that website high and low, and nothing about a rebate was mentioned at the time we purchased the phone. The first rep we talked to even stated that it sounds deceptive to her. We feel t-mobile was dishonest, and has scammed us. We are stuck with nothing to do but pay a bill we thought we had already paid. We have no choice to pay the bill, but I thought that the BBB should know of the discrepancies regarding our plan, in hopes to stop future potential buyers from making this mistake. If the phones we not in fact free, we feel the website should be stating that the phones are only free with the rebate. We are saddened and feeling very deceived. We are simple, honest people and only hoping to make right, what we were wronged.Thank you for your time.
Sincerely, Heather N*****

Why dont you have the boxes? T-Mobile is the only service that has been good to me, and I’ve had them for three years now without major issue. I think the worse thing they did was promise me I could transfer my ringtones, and I should have known better than to believe that. Otherwise they’ve been awesome. My Razr was $60 with a mail in rebate and I got my rebate right away.
