Snip Snip

Okay I called the hair salon today and they confirmed they had spaces open and that they were still taking donations. Yes the haircut was free which was nice. After I got off the phone I almost threw up. I got dry heaves…lol how silly. I took a shower an then blow dried my hair and headed over there. I waited about 10 minutes. She was nice and kept talking the entire time about how I was so nice and doing a great thing, as if I didnt know lol. I just got a straight cut, though the front is slightly shorter, but for a free haircut I didnt want to demand layers for my hair. I’ll just go back in a few weeks and get some put in. They cut off 12 inches, 11 for the wig and an extra inch for evening it out. I gave her a 5 dollar tip just for being so nice. Here are the before and after pictures and just so everyone can see the difference I put two fronts and two backs. One of before and after for each side. If that made sense. Please excuse the weird look on my before picture. I was this close to crying lol.

I guess i was gonna cry half for joy and half for loss of my hair, but I know my hair will grow back, and these poor kids dont have any. Getting teased in school and funny looks from people all the time is hard. You just wanna tuck away and hide. But with a wig that looks real and a nice makeover and they feel ready to conquer the world. Which is how they should feel. They’re children. They should feel like they can do anything and nothing should hold their dreams back. I just feel really good today.

BTW Chris and I went to the new Sam’s Club and man I love it. Its just like Costco with the tray samples on every turn. So good. We were each taking one of each sample. We ran into Chris’s brother and his wife while shopping. Chris’s sister in law didnt reconize me at first because i cut my hair lol. She was shocked. Strangely enough we ran into them in front of the giant block of cheese that was being sculpted ( yes sculpted) into a nice thing for the military group that lives here. The 101 Airborne. Small town plus big military equals a lot of support in weird ways. Well Chris’s brother served with the 101 Airborne over in Iraq so he was checking it out. Weirdest part, the lady sculpting it was wearing a cow outfit. Ummm…mmmkay then, I’m just gonna go*looks around* that way. LATE! Lol really really freaky!
