"We Belong Together"

My last entry was just me feeling last for something I really want. Just a venting session. Mel emailed me back today and we were sending emails but there was so much to talk about so I just asked her for her number and called her up. We ended up talking for over 2 hours. It was fun, really great. I honestly don’t know why we stopped talking, maybe it was because we had nothing in common, but now we have a ton in common. She’s doing really good. She moved to VA with her boyfriend and parents. Its so weird to hear her talk about her pregnancy and everything because I still remember her as a 14 year old girl from when I knew her. It’s cool though, we only live 10 hours away! So mayb we’ll be able to visit each other and reconnect that friendship. I’m hoping that maybe next spring when its not too hot, and not too cold, we can visit or she can come here. Im really happy for her. Very excited. I’m also glad for the second chance to reconnect with a lost friend. Its so hard to lose a friend and think about them. When people grow apart andlose touch. Its nice you can pick up a phone, have the courage, and dial a number to someone you haven’t talked to in years, and best of all you can talk for hours without ackward silence. I hope we can meet up soon.

For anyone who’s lost touch with a friend and thinks of them and wonders where they are and what they are doing, pick up a phone, it can’t hurt. We only get one life. Don’t spend it with grudges and  ill feelings. Don’t let someone you miss slip away because your too afriad to pick up a phone, or your too lazy to take the time to find them, or your too cheap to spend the money to reconnect. If you wonder about them fondly, then find them, let them know you still care about that missing friendship. You might find something great. At least you’ll know what happened, and get some answers.
