Jealousy Rears An Ugly Head
My new found friendship with Leigh & John seems to be making quite a few people at my work jealous of the time I’m spending with her. *laughs* No one more so than this girl Alison. She moved here a while back, after her baby was born. Her boyfriend is one of our managers at work, Eli. They went trick or treating with Leigh on Halloween. Alison seems like the type that only wants to benefit herself. I’m not going to lie, we live in one of the nicer places in town, clean and safe neighborhood, expensive houses. We happen to be neighbors with these awesome people and us ladies happen to work together.
Our friendship is based more on where we live and work, but It’s a point I’m getting to. In fact Leigh and John, had we not met them, we would still be living the same life as each other, just parallel to each other. We are that much alike in so many ways, and just different enough to keep it spicy. Truth is we ove going over there and playing board games, and talking, and having REAL friends.
Alison seems to want what we have. The expensive houses in the nice part of town, a friend couple, and so forth. Yesterday Leigh and I had decided to have lunch together after work. Well we had decided night before last, but we re confirmed our plans yesterday. To our surprise John picked up Lily early from school and he was waiting at Rafferty’s. Well I got off sooner than Leigh, hung with John and the kids until Leigh got off, and we ate. I guess that struck a nerve with Alison, because later she called Leigh a bit tipsy and told her she should claim me as a dependent so they could get the tax kickback. We both found this insanely funny.
She doesn’t think her motivations are clear, but they are. She’s a user, and I’ve seen her blow through enough people who she wants to be "friends" with. She might not like me because she’s jealous that I’m younger and live in better houses. I never thought of it like that. It’s not my fault she’s not where she wanted to be when she turned 27. We had a good laugh about that.
Out of all my fav’s only two of you noted me on how cute my new nephew was, and only a few of you noted me on the last entry. I will be making some fav’s cuts soon, and I will be going back to Fav’s Only soon. I don’t have time for people who pretend they care. If your confused, then you didn’t read my above entry.
