Benefits and Drama

There are some definate benefits to being a moderator on the OD boards. Other than the overwelming popularity *rolls eyes*. Like a sneak peak at the new note changes. I’m not going to divulge anything, but I will say that the DM sure does work hard on this site, and while it takes him some time to get around to things, he really cares what we think. The new changes are awesome! I’m very excited for them to be finalized and all the kinks worked out!

Some drama at work today. I got a man fired. He deserved it too, that mother fucker. As we all know I wait tables. The man, we’ll call him C, is was a dishwasher. I guess when I was in the back a splashed him with a little bit of water. That asshole picked up some ice and chucked it at me. It hit me in my side, and although it didn’t hurt, I was quite confused. So I leaned down to look at him between the glass racks, and said," Did you just throw ice at me?"

I asked very politely. He starts in on me about how people have been splashing him all night. I said we’ll I’m sorry, but it’s not my fault. Then he starts talking more shit and at this point I’m pretty mad. I’m alreadya  fireball, and passionate, don’t be stupid enough to piss me off. Then C took the stupidity even further. He said why don’t you go get your man to settle this. Meaning he wanted to hit me, but he was suggesting that he didn’t hit women, so he wanted to fight my husband. *SCRRRREEEEECCCCH* Hold up. Hit the brakes. I fucking lost it. Anything someone in the back of the house has a problem with me, they run to Chris. I DO NOT need him to fight my fights. I’m a big girl and I can take care of myself. Besides Chris was at home, and had already worked that morning.

I lost it, and I was screaming at him, and he was yelling at me, and the other dishwasher AJ, had to literally break us up, cause I would have hit him.

The screaming caused the back of the house manager to come back, bewildered. I left to take care of my tables, and when I came back, I had a quick talk with Brandon and the GM Marcus. I explained what happened, and left again. They weren’t mad at me. All would have been fine too.

Except C couldn’t let it go. I came back about 10 minutes later to do my running duty, which was emptying the dirty linens from the cart. He gets up in my face again, talking shit. Calling me phoney and going on, and while he was talking I walked away, and went and told a manager. I have never done that in the year and 4 months I’ve worked there. But I knew if I didn’t I would have been fired. So I come back, finish up me running duty and dude is STILL talking shit, with Marcus standing there out of his eyesight, listening.

Brandon told me I wouldn’t have to deal with him anymore, because he was canned. I guess C picked a fight earlier in the week with another dishwasher. He has no anger control. I was over it. I had been over it. I don’t hold grudges, they only bring you down, not the other person.

What a stupid thing to get mad about. Because water accidently hit him.
