Annoy
I was surfing the web, but seeings how there’s a cat sitting on half my mousepad, and is proceeding to lick my hand….and now my face.llkkkk <—-*that was from her*
Okay now that the cat in my face is gone, annoyances. I am having on big annoyance lately. I can’t shake it. It’s the MOTHER IN LAW. OMG she’s driving me nuts! I don’t usually complain, because I know she is old. The other night Chris asked me if I’d go talk to her for a while. Thats like asking me to grab a gun and shoot myself. I love her, but after 4 years of living with this woman, I’ve heard every story she can remember, three times each at least. And it usually starts with, when I was growing up I was very very poor.
I never did go talk with her because she had fallen asleep but this morning while I’m in the rush to get ready for work, she stops me. Calls me over. She wants to give me jewelry that she doesn’t wear anymore, or ever did. Except everything she says is laced with snobness. This was veeeeeeeery expensive, she says. Great well, thanks, I don’t care if it was expensive or not, neither should you, I think. And its not the is very expensive so be careful type of tone. She’s bragging. Plain and simple. I hate braggers. Chris does it too, and it bugs me. So then she gives me this old tarnished ring that was Chris’s in high school. And even though I know how to use a silver tarnish remover cloth, she feels she has to show me again. For the 7th time. I need a shirt that says, I’m A Big Girl Now!
Ugh! I hate people who explains things to you like you are a dumb mute… The russian dude did that to me and it was sooo infuriating

i love my father-in-law to death, but seriously, i have heard his stories SO many times. sometimes i just want to be like “oh, is this the one where you were totally awesome for doing [insert awesome thing here] and everyone else just acted like complete dumbasses? yeah, i remember it!” but i bet it would be a million times worse if i couldn’t stand to be around him.

People like that are showing their own insecurities with every little brag. Pity her.

RYN: OK, then pity her insecurity about material goods. Even good people have bad traits. FWIW, my mother is the same way. She can’t understand how I don’t care about things like dishes and jewelry. But I *do* understand why *she* does care.
