Amazingness w/pics

Yesterday was a fantastic day! I was going to write about it yesterday but I was so gosh darn tired. I might want to warn you, that this will contain bragging about my hubby. He’s amazing! Absolutely amazing!

I worked a so so shift yesterday. It was slow and easy, but I made good tips, not great, but liveable. Cushy even. Not much happened, surprisely drama free. Probably all the new people we have working. I’m excited for the holiday rush though, and for the past two days it’s been very quiet. The calm before the storm prehaps? I’m off today, so Chris and I have decided to finish the Christmas tree. All that is left is hanging ornaments.

So why is my hubby so kick ass? He looks tough, with a heart of jello, he’s smart, funny, strrong, good looking, and handy. Not only did he do all that heavy lifting at Jodi’s, but he managed to completely remodel our bedroom, with some help from me. The tv hutch that Jodi gave us (her ex hubby built it, muahaha) is gorgeous and a space saver. Chris had the genius idea of turning it into a desk on bottom, tv and surround sound on top. Storage space beneath. Score! This thing is huge and made of pine. Hubby moved it by himself. He also moved out our tv and storage chest, and desk. Both piece of big furniture. Then we picked up the trash, cleaned up, put things in place, and I vacumned. Then we moved the dresser next to the tv and the printer, and moved the bed center in the back wall. We have so much more room, because the tv hutch is a corner piece.

The tv does do a little annoyance interference with the computer monitor, but it’s fine. Turning off the tv fixes the situation for now. I’m so proud of him. Although I think I’m remembering why the bed was pushed against the wall though. The metal edges of the frame poke out, but I’m sure we can find a solution to that too, since the bed was covering the vent, and circulation in here has vastly improved. This room was built completely wrong. There is little big wall space, limiting the position of things. The window is smack dab middle of one wall, and on that opposite wall the door and closet doors. The window is pretty much floor to ceiling too, which is nice in a way. The vent is next to the window, and only two walls remain. The cable line doesn’t reach the back wall either. This house sucks, but I love it at the same time. This summer poor Chris is moving the furniture back out to the middle of the room, and we are painting our walls to a mocha brown, flat. No more nasty mint green.

Finished tv hutch. Feel free to really look at the photos. It’s a good glimpse of what we’re like. BTW that’s House MD on the tv.

The newly positioned bed,  and the new speakers we got from Jodi for free as well. Ten speakers per tower and we have two. One is in one corner seen, and the other behind where Chris is standing.

Me zoning out on a kick ass snowboarding video game. Great graphics!

I like the hutch – it’s very nice 🙂

That’s a nice piece of furniture. I actually don’t mind your wall color, but I do think the brown would be more soothing

Wow. He built that! Excellent job with it. Looks like a pro. The room looks good, but I can’t blame you for not liking the color.

Mmmm, I love the smell of wood 🙂

RYN: I know, I just wasn’t clear in saying it=0) But it does look heavy so Chris did do a pretty awesome thing hauling it around.
