A Memoir
Right now I’m relaxing from a hard day at work. Lucrative, yes, but hard, and long. I’m also watching Confessionals Of A Croc Hunter, which I’m sure animal planet went into a frenzy to whip up. It’s hard to believe that Steve Erwin is dead.
A poetic justice that he died doing what he loved. I can’t imagine what his family is going through. I can’t even imagine they would even think he could get hurt. It must be a complete shock. Such a freak accident. He was such a bright, energetic guy, with a true passion for animals, and for life. He stayed true to himself, and his passion. I’ll miss watching his antics.
I’m feeling better about our money situation after a nice weekend of tips. I think people really like the pigtail braids. You’ll be surprised what subtle differences can do to your tips.
Chris is at Old Chicago picking up take out for us all to try. I think their food is okay. They brought in tons of food in the weeks before they opened. Why, I’m not sure, but it was nice.
Im beginning to not care if people note. If you don’t eventually I’ll just delete you from ym favorites.
*sigh* note or not to note. I usually delete people if they don’t note one entry within a month. A meaningful note that is, none of this 🙂 *hugs* … dodad. Steve Irwin… It is sad that he passed away, and I feel for the family… but… well … I kinda found him a little annoying, then again, maybe it’s just because I hate that horrible outfit he wore all the time. Stubbies and hard yakka shirts, just aren’t my thing.

I know!! I was so shocked this mornign when I heard. I read that the barbed tail went in to his chest and pierced his heart. We lost an amazing animal activist. Congrats on the tips!! lol I always felt better with more money in my pocket.

meh, notes. statcounter tells me that i get a huge number of unique visitors after i post a new entry, yet only a handful of those note. i think it’s a little weird. like i have people walking through my house all the time yet only a couple stop to say “hi.” that’s okay, though. the nature of OD, i think.

I loved the commercial for ESPN or something when Steve Irwin is wrestling that crocodile mascot in the office. It cracks me up every time 😀

Tim didn’t believe me when I told him The croc hunter had died. He thought I was kidding. Then he was even more shocked when I told him how he died, he figured a crocodile or snake would have gotten him.

This morning someone sent me a comic for my guest comic site that mocked Steve Irwin’s death. I got very very upset and made a big fuss about it. I’m a very laid back kinda guy, but I don’t like jokes mocking the dead. Especially not when he had a wife and kids…totally uncool. So you know, I’ll probably keep leaving notes here. I don’t have many favorites yet, and besides Jae, you’re the first.

its hard to believe that I actually found someone that was on my favorites list that stil has an open diary. I went away to myspace and came back here because I got an email saying hat it was about to get deleted…and wow I did not know about steve erwin

Everyone at my work was talking about him today. Some of my co-workers were even crying.

I used to try different hairstyles to try to get more tips, and it worked sometimes. You just can’t play it out for too long though. sometimes they thought I was new and would leave me a big tip even though I had worked there 4+ years, they were all elderly and didn’t really pay that close of attention, even when they went in everyday.
