38 weeks

Fourteen days left! Whee! I’ve been having A LOT of mucus-y discharge today. I’ve had to wipe 2 to 3 times a bathroom visit because of all the mucus stuff. It feels like snot. My doctor didn’t check me today. I’m not sure why, but I know if I make it to next week he’ll be checking me then, and also he wants an ultrasound to try and guess her weight. He said my blood pressure is still good, and that my weight was excellent! I now weigh 155, 10 pounds over pre pregnancy weight.

I finally got started on washing Kenzie’s clothes today, and I started packing my hospital bag. I feel like I’m missing things, but I’m not sure what. I’m planning on checking out the pregnancy board to double check my hospital bag stuff. I went last minute baby shopping today, and got almost everything we needed. I still need to find some baby gates, because the only ones they had were not tall enough for our dogs. I bought out all the baby hangers, found a cute lamp shade on clearance, and got the cutest little play gym. I also bought another package of newborn diapers, and some breastmilk storage bags. I got nipple cream, nursing pads, gowns, a swaddler, a pram for winter, some storage containers, a photo album that’s too cute. I’m sure there is more but I can’t think of it. Oh some more washclothes, and hooded towels. I also got some sheer white curtains for her room too.

Chris is cooking fajitas and I’m starving. So I’m going to help him finish cooking dinner, and get the rest of the baby clothes washed. I’ll probably have belly pictures sometime this week.

Oh and for my San Diego friends, please keep me updated on the wildfires. I’m very nervous for my family. Everyone in Chris and I’s families pretty much live in San Diego. I know Chris’s oldest brother and family had been evacuated, as had my sister and her hubby. It’s almost as hard for me to watch it on tv and not know what’s going on, as it would be for us to be there. The news doesn’t focus on the areas my family is in. I wanna know where the fire is headed, not where it has been and where it’s at. I know that already.

*I didn’t even get a chance to finish this entry. Chris called me to make gaucamole, and then we ate. The food was delicious! As for the mucus-y stuff, yeah it’s definately my plug, and there is a lot of it. It’s getting to be more and more as the night goes on. Even when I wipe serveral times, I can’t get it all. It’s getting close, I’m not so sure I’ll even make it to my due date now. I’m getting very crampy too, but it’s off and on, maybe like an hour apart, and only lasting a few minutes. I’m so glad I got that shopping done today.
