Up early

Gooooood morning, y’all!!

I’m at j’s and the dogs woke me up early, wanting out.  Chandler and Bailey are here– their mama and daddy were nice enough to go to Vegas and let us keep them– it’s been a fun weekend spent laughing at the kids, swimming, and j and i even made our first trip to Pet Smart, at Chant’s request.  And know what?  The entire time, i couldn’t think of any place else i’d rather be!!

Pet Smart was awesome!!  They didn’t have any cats or dogs at the moment, but we checked out the mice and hamsters and lizards and fishes and hermit crabs, among other things.  Bailey (and ME!) were particularly not fond of the hairless rat.  Her "Ooooooooo, yucky!" and scrunched up face were enough to make us all laugh!!

It’s sad, but i know the kids will be heading back up to NC with their mama soon.  And the more time i spend with them, the more they capture my heart.  And…i think vice versa.  I give j a hard time about being their little puppet and remind him the he’s supposed to be the adult, but i find myself falling all over me to make them happy, just to hear them laugh!!
