Thinking we had plans and a clue…

Yep, that’s what New Year’s eve turned out to be.

At midnight, i kissed all of the giggling grandchildren as they were lined up in our bed watching TV.  Silly Bailey told me "Good night" when i kissed her…which is funny, considering that she didn’t look ready for sleep at all (maybe she was hoping i’d go to sleep and leave her, Bubba, and Jordan to run amuck…).

At about 12:30, i was calling Ant to see if him and Kim (who’d missed her babies and snuck in that day from NC) could come tend to the kids so i could run J to the ER.  His pancretitus had been bothering him for more than a week, although he was trying to "tough it out" (what is it about testosterone that make men do that???).

Of course, Kim and Ant were here in a heartbeat.  J was nearly doubled over and Kim and Ant helped us to the car and went to tend to the little ones.  Only Jordan was awake at this point.

J was admitted (but had to wait until the next evening to get into a room–the place is packed!).  His pain was totally on his left side and had moved up to his chest, so of course, we were all wondering if it was a heart attack, the pancretitus, or the gallstone that he has acting up.

I’m still blown away that he allowed himself to be admitted for tests, but i’m so thankful!!!  They’ve been able to manage his pain and maybe we can find some relief to all this.  It it’s the pancretitus, we’ll just have to try to get through this episode.

I’m exhausted, need a shower, and need to get myself up to the hospital so that i can maybe run into one of the doctors that havre been parading in and out.

Funny thing, tho…when i called Ant (the EX-SIL) at about 4 AM to let him know J was going to be admitted, i woke him up and his comments were "do you need anything?" and "if there’s anything i can do, let me know".  I called Jimmie and heard all about how he wouldn’t be getting his information about his dad from anybody but me because there was a confrontation when he came to pick up his son and he’s no longer speaking to Kim.

What EVER, Jimmie…i have a few more important things to think about now than YOU!!!

Yeah, i know….hard to believe that anything could be more important than Jimmie…

And, i had to cut him off, without any offer from him about if we needed anything…*SIGH*

Ok, i’m off to the shower & to see J.  Any and all prayers are appreciated!!!!
