Scar tissue

Just can’t take it no more feelin’ numb
Woke up face on the floor I was dumb
Cut me all the way to the core morning comes
Time to get busy forgetting again

~Rehab

Ok, so i didn’t wake up "face on the floor"…but i did wake up on the couch where i’d fallen asleep.

Mornings are the hardest, although each one gets a little easier.  Waking up is like running into a brick wall.  OUCH!!!!

But i must be doing ok, at least.  I was having panic attacks and went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago.  He sent me to a therapist, who only made me come twice, saying "the things you’re feeling sound perfecly normal for someone who’s lost their spouse.

Hmmmm… something about me is perfectly normal. That almost NEVER happens!!

My Bailey girl is recooperating how she should be– she’s back to being honorary as ever!   They had a snow day one day this week, the first they’d had in a year and a half of being in NC.  They had a blast, going sledding and other fun things.  I talked to Bailey and she told me that her feet were "frozing".  Goofy girl!!  I’s a good thing i speak "Bailey-ese".

Nancy is due ANY time now!!!  I’ll have a new grandbaby!!!  Yeah, they live  in NM but are planning to move to Tallahassee in a year or so, when her husband finishes up college.  I hope the plan comes through and they end up just a few hours away.

Blessed be, ya’ll!!!

Good to hear from you. I know what you’re doing – each day – is hard. But it’s your life. And it gets better. Good to hear Bailey is doing well. And your family is expanding – that’s good news too. (I have a new grandchild due in July too!)
