Celebrating my bd at Rehab!!

Where do i start????  It’s been about a billion years since i’ve had a chance to be in OD land!!  I miss ya’ll!!!!!

Thanks soooooo much for my happy bd wishes!!!!  Despite being far away from my family and Soph,  i still had a great bd.  The girls at work took me to The Boarding House for lunch, which is good ole down home cooking in  a family table setting.  What better thing to give to a girl who lives alone and doesn’t bother to cook for herself???  I ate LOTS of yummy vegtables and fried chicken (mmmMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!) but passed on the liver and onions!

And Soph woke me up that morning with a phone call.  I’d been slapping the snooze on my alarm clock without it much interrupting my sleep, but when that phone rang, i was outta bed like a shot– and much relieved that it was Soph being Soph and wanting to be the first to wish me a happy bd!!  *shaking my head*  That girl…

Friday night was AWESOME!!!!!  There’s a southern hip-hop band called "Rehab" that i’m crazy about and they just happended to be playing in the local area.  One of the two guys who started the band grew up here in Warner Robins, which is why i gave ’em a listen several years ago.  It was during my transition from being married to being single and although i don’t listen to much music like that, i’ve worn this CD  "Southern Discomfort" out!!  They have a new CD coming out July 12, so if ya wanna take a listen, here ya go http://www.rehabmusic.net/.

Anyway, Alice that i work with and i went.  She’s a major fan, too.  So is Soph, and i wished she coulda been here– i thought about her about a million times that night because that’s about how many times we’ve listened to their music together.  I even tried to call and wake her up, but my cell phone’s pretty lame.

It was definately a different kinda night for me– the last bar i was in was three years ago, when i lived here before!  And that was to listen to a band, too.  I don’t much care for the bar scene.

But Alice is the party girl so i didn’t feel outta place.  We hung out with ourselves before the band started and had a few drinks (which is something i rarely do) and talked and laughed and people watched.  As soon as Rehab came on, we were at the stage.  It was a small club, not lots of folks there, so we got right up close– and stayed there the entire time they were playing.  Awesome…incredible…surreal!!!

Here’s a pic that Alice took of Danny Boone, the lead singer:

WOW!!!  What a night!!!!

No, i don’t get out much…but that’s all right.  This one was worth it!!!

I know there are about a billion other things that i wanted to write about, but my mind’s a blank now.  Guess that means it’s time for me to get busy around here—LOTS to do!!!!!!!

Blessed be!!!
