Work!

I’ve got a job!  So happy and excited and suffering from a major migraine, but oh my word, I have a job!  Its working at a hotel on 2nd and 3rd shift, and quite possibly eventually as the full-time night auditor.  I had found the ad on craigslist (amongst tons of other ads) and sent in an email and resume.  Yesterday, Becca (the AGM) called and asked me to come in today to fill out an application and have an interview.  The interview with her went really well and she asked if I could stay and meet with the owner that day. We sat down and talked for maybe 15 minutes or so, they walked out and spoke for less than 5 before Becca walked back in and offered me the job on the spot.  Both she and the owner completely understood and respected that I’m a Christian and won’t be able to work on Sundays and other certain events.  They are really emphasizing the importance of teamwork as well, which will make things even better.

I’m really excited, if nothing else, that I have income again.  Its just barely above minimum wage and I’ll still have to watch my pennies, but I’ll be making enough to support myself.  My income will be equal to my expenses, if not a tiny bit more.  For the first time in my life, I won’t be begging money off my parents every other day.

Incredibly happy, but this migraine is wicked so I’m going to go lie down.
