Moment for the Cool Kids

1. First Name? If you don’t know, I ain’t tellin’!

2. Were you named after anyone? My dad’s sister and my great-aunt

3. Which finger is your favorite? My pinky because although sometimes it depends on my ring finger and moves with it, it is the busiest and strongest finger on my oboe.

4. Are you answering these questions during work? NEVER! Such a good little worker bee like my wouldn’t do such a thing. Hang on. I gotta scratch the brown off my nose. Course I am! I’m bored and pissed.

5. When did you last cry? Gah, its feels like ages ago. I think something like two weeks ago, but I really want to today.

6. Do you like your handwriting? Depends on my mood, probably about 50/50. Sometimes it looks cool, sometimes too much like my mother’s or my father’s.

7. What is your favorite lunch meat? Bologna

8. Any bad habits? Coffee and berating myself

9. What is your most embarrassing CD on the shelf? Britney Spears is up there. I didn’t buy it, someone burned it for me. I don’t think I’ve ever listened to it. Everything else I don’t really care. I’m way too eclectic to be embarassed by any of my music anymore.

10. If you were another person, would YOU be friends with you? Yeah, I think I would.

11. Are you a daredevil? Yeah, not really. I’m open to trying things, but I err on the side of caution.

12. Have you ever told a secret you swore not to tell? No, I can’t think of one. I mean, not without the one who made me promise not to tell saying it was okay to tell someone.

13. Do looks matter? There’s a difference between appearance and looks. You are born with your looks. They don’t matter. You control your appearance – your attitude, clothes, hair, makeup – and that matters. Not that everyone should be in prom dresses and all made up all the time, but how you present yourself is important.

14. How do you release anger? I kill people. Don’t look in my closet. In reality, I play piano, cry, slam doors, throw shoes, scream till I’m hoarse, smoke cigarettes, go for intense walks – it depends a lot on why I’m angry and who I’m angry with.

15. Where is your second home? It used to be Feather’s, but its not anymore. The cabin is probably the closest thing to a second home to me.

16. Do you trust others easily? No. I’ve been hurt and betrayed too many times to trust people easily. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt, but not easily.

17. What was your favorite toy as a child? My imaginary friend named Sallie….oh wait as a child? Probably the Sit-n-Spin. I wore the thing out!

18. What class in school do you think is totally useless? Health Class in high school. By then its stuff we already know, either from experience or hearing someone else talk about it. PIG was also pointless. It teaches you how senators pass a bill in Congress. But it fails to show us young adult voters how we can actually make a difference and how those stupid politicans in DC actually affect our lives.

19. Do you use sarcasm a lot? Never!

20. Have you ever been in a mosh pit? Yeah, its a rush like I can’t explain. Pounding music, pounding bodies, rushing back and forth in perfect execution. Its an experience.

21. What do you look for in a Woman/Man? Someone taller than me and stronger than me. Someone who appreciates music. Someone who understands me and just gets me in that way.

22. Who are your favorite singers? Oh, geez thats not a fair question. I like too many different groups and bands for too many different reasons. Brand New is up there.

23. What are your nicknames? Lobster, Pleasure Princess, Cutie, Babes (yes those are actual nicknames for me, not just terms of endearment), Bird

24. Would you bungee jump? Not sure. I’m sure it would be a rush, but its not something I have to do before I die or anything.

25. Do you untie your shoes when you take them off? Huh. Sometimes. Depends if I’m stalling for something or not.

26. Do you think that you are strong? Physically – I have sheer body weight on my side sometimes, and I’m not as strong as I used to be. I use different muscles than I did, say back in high school, so different strengths. Emotionally/Mentally – I don’t think so. I crack under pressure and give in to pain and sadness more than I wish I did.

27. What’s your favorite ice cream flavor? Mint Chocolate Chip or Fudge Brownie Chocolate Ice Cream (depends on the time of the month)

28. Shoe Size? Let’s just say I have big, ugly feet.

29. What is your favorite color? green – It used to be purple, and I love the way purple and green look together, so I like purple too.

30. What is your least favorite thing? Raindrops on roses – they make my nose wet! But it means I got roses, so thats always a good thing.

31. How many wisdom teeth do you have? Well, since my 20th birthday “party” was at the oral surgeon getting them removed, I have none.

32. How many people have a crush on you right now? HA! Wish I knew.

33. Who do you miss most right now? Ahhh, the most? I miss a lot of people, but probably Megan. Even Kaba, Loren and the gang in a certain way.

34. If you were a crayon, what color would you be? One of those really deep blue/purple colors

35. The first thing you notice about the opposite sex? Voice

46. Favorite drink? Starbucks

47. Favorite Alcoholic Drink? Starbucks with Vodka! Just kidding – Blue Raspberry Martinis are good.

48. Favorite Sport? Baseball is cool – live or on TV. If you’re home, you can go to the bathroom in a safe, clean space and get free food and drink. But the stadium is an experience itself – Hot dogs, beer, people screaming. Baseball is just cool.

49. Hair color? Brown with redish tinge

50. Eye color? Depends on my mood – Dark green when I’m stressed or angry or upset, Light blue when I’m hyper and excited, and dark blue when I’m emotional

51. Do you wear contacts? Yeah, I had glasses from 2nd grade until 10th grade when I finally got my contacts – best thing ever

52. Siblings? Two “foreign” sisters and one honorary little brother

51. Favorite month? January – Snow, snow, snow, snow, snow!

52. Favorite food? Chinese and Italian are always good choices, but favorite would probably be steak, local farm corn, potatoes all cooked on the grill and a beer! Chocolate is always a winner too.

53. Favorite day of the year? The first real day of fall – when the morning air is brisk and the wind dancing in the trees, leaves crunching under foot and falling from the sky. Its the first day you can break out the jeans and comfy sweatshirt without getting too hot.

54. Scary movies or happy endings? I’m not a scary movie fan, but “happily ever after” endings make me depressed as well. They’re not real. I’d rather have the realistic, even if sad, ending.

55. Summer or winter? Winter – Think fires crackling in the fireplace, warm sweaters, hot chocolate, snuggling under the blanket…

56. Hugs or kisses? I think hugs, they make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Kisses are too intense sometimes. There is too many strings attached to them.<BR

I had a shirt you would have loved when I was younger – it was patches of lush greens mixed with purples and black and melted together. I loved it like nobody’s business. And I’ll admit to once owning a completely purple, formal pants and blazer. :: looks away in shame ::
