Just a law, a new begin
In case the point wasn’t clear the first time…..let me freak out again.
When I heard Bush on the radio offreing his sympathy I had a few choice words to scream at him – I hold him almost as responsible for what happened as the bombers.
I can’t believe it. I don’t like Bush. Don’t get me wrong. A guy who talks to the “Homeland Security folks and the State Department dudes” and then waves at Stevie Wonder shouldn’t be running my country, but whatever. The Electoral College is a battle to fight some other day. But do not fucking dare to blame him for the bombings in London. Do not fucking dare blame me for the bombings in London. I am an American and a New Yorker. I didn’t go around blaming other countries for what happened to us. Tony Blair did some things to screw my family and I didn’t blame him for the Sept. 11th attacks.
And if anyone had actually read the terrorists reason behind attack Britian, it was because BRITISH soldier were in AFGANISTAN AND IRAQ. The last time I checked, Bush was only the Commander in Chief of the American military, not the British. Not the Danish. Not the Italians. I’d like to see Bush try and tell the RAF to go here. They would tell him where to go. The whole fucking country would.
And since when did Sadaam become a great leader who didn’t need to be taken out? Since when was arresting him and destroying his regime a bad idea.
Ok, ok. I’ll concede this point. Bush’s motives and reasonings for going into Iraq were fucked up. We weren’t there to find Osama bin Ladin. We were there to protect our oil intrests and take out Sadaam. BUT SO THE FUCK WHAT!! We took out Sadaam. We destroyed his regime. Granted, I think forcing western ideas of democracy down the throats of those people is wrong, but we still TOOK OUT SADAAM!!!! Don’t try and tell him he should have remained in power. Don’t sit there across the pond and blame Bush for al Qaeda bombing your city. YOUR SOLDIERS WERE THERE, TOO!
OK, ok, ok. So Bush Sr. helped put Sadaam in power and keep him there, because of our oil interests. Now Bush Jr. is taking Sadaam out because of oil interests. And the countries of the world are critizing us for switching gears. OK, ok, the American governments interests in Iraq weren’t noble. But I didn’t see any other country lining up to take out Sadaam.
I want a President who is going to go into Iraq and take out the murdering tyrannt. I want a President who is going to use our strengths to try and end world hunger. I want a President who is going to make America a Humanitarian government. Right now we may be capitalistic, but until Blair’s big Africa kick at the G8, there was no other Humanitarian government ANYWHERE. I’m not saying America’s perfect, but NEITHER IS THE REST OF THE WORLD.
You wanna hate me for being an American? You wanna hate me for being born in NY? You know what, fine. Go ahead. I can’t change that. You wanna blame me for bombing London? Honey, if America wanted to bomb London, there would be nothing left.

just offer condolences, as the rest of the world did in the aftermath of 11th Sept 01 (if you remember that far back), before america went off on its mad revenge and bombed other innocent people. It wouldn’t have been that hard to just say ‘sorry you’ve had this happen to you’, rather than comparing it to the loss of life in NYC and ranting about whether or not we deserve it.

We’re not all blaming you for the bombs in London. I don’t hate you. I can see the positive things you wrote and understand your point of view, even though I might not totally agree with it all. You’re not a bad person. You don’t sound arrogant to me. We all have our own beliefs. Who has the right to say who is correct, who is wrong?
