I can’t dance

I’ve lost my sense of wonder
I eat my fill, but always keep that hunger
Never taking one single breath for granted
Cause love just leaves me empty handed
I feel so small when I stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes no more seem to open
I’ll no longer give faith a fighting chance

I always fear those mountains in the distance
And now I’ll settle for the path of least resistance
Living means taking chances, but are they worth taking
Loving might be a mistake but is it worth making
Some hell bent heart has left me bitter
I’m coming close to just selling out, can’t reconsider
I can’t give the heavens more than just a passing glance
