Both Stacks Smoking

Reality really sets in when your best friend tells you she’s going to AA. She turned 21 this past month and she’s going to AA. I’m glad she’s getting help and I’m so proud of her for admiting she has a problem. I can’t be there for her like I wish I could, but she’s making better decisions and taking care of herself. But she’s fucking 21, for Christ’s sake. She and I will never be able to go out and have martini’s together.

Its just the reality train coming crashing into the station, both stacks smoking.

what’s worse than not being able to drink martinis with your best friend? having a best friend that will not admit that she has a problem… and not knowing if you will ever be able to hang out with her withoutdrinking martinis. but that’s just me. *hugs*

I hate hearing things like this. It is so sad. It is unreal how so many young people have dangerous addictions. I am happy to hear she is getting help. That is the best step she can take.
