Snotty and Dopey

Well, its time to be at work but for some reason I’m  still at  home. Hmmmm.  I wonder how that happened. I suppose it could be because I fell like I’m on crack. Bleh. It was so weird. I went to work like normal. Sat down at the first available desk and wham. I started sneezing  and my nose started running and I started feeling borderline retarded. I was like great. It wouldn’t’ve been that bad but I have to be on the phone all day. Literally. So here I am trying to talk to people without sneezing or blowing my nose in their ear.Which means I put them on mute. But I can’t let ten seconds go by without saying something or I’ll fail the call. Urgh. Plus my call time is only supposed to be  35 seconds. Yah f*ing right. I think I was running about 38 seconds the entire day  yesterday. Oi.

I did mention that I worked for 411, right? Well I do. So next time you call information  please be nice to the person. We’re on the phones the entire day so by the time it gets to the end of the shift I can’t help it if I  have to have you spell something about 3 times. My brain just wants to shut down.  And what the hell is wrong with people who call 411 and don’t listen to the operator. Example:

Automated Voice: City and state please.

Caller: Uh yeah I’m looking for foot locker.

Operator:Thankyou, and what city and state is that in?

Caller: (silence)

Operator: Caller?

Caller: Yah? Found it yet?

Operator: I need to know what city and state thats in.

Caller: Oh,uh. Florida.

Operator: (pause) And what city is that in Florida?

Caller: I think its Miami.

Operator: Thankyou, one moment please. (searches)

Operator: I have several listings for that, do you know what street its on?

Caller: Huh? Oh, Florida,Florida.

Operator: (sigh) Yes thankyou for that but was it on (lists off all streets)

Caller: Um, its on Tamiami Trl.

Operator:  Thankyou have a niced day.

I mean really. Is it that much to ask that if you call 411 you at least pay attention for few seconds? Now to be fair there are some really nice people that call in. And say nice things to me.Those people I love. And I can understand from a callers perspective that sometimes you get the operator whose a complete b*tch and seems out to get you. Most of those operators don’t  last very long. And if you get an operator who seems to have no idea what they’re doing, its probably because they don’t. They just kind of throw new trainees out onto the call floor and are like "have fun". So there, I have griped about my job enough for today. I fell loads better. Hehe.

Now, on a more personal note….I bloody f*ing miss my boyfriend!!! Argh!! I feel like I haven’t seen him in a month. Or longer. I only get to talk to him first thing in the morning because his job keeps him too busy to talk to me during his breaks…..if he even has breaks.I hate playing voicemail tag. I’m seriously going to kill someone at his job if they stop me from seeing him this week. Seriously. Anyway, if I think about this anymore I’m going to get angry or upset, I’m not sure which is worse. *sigh*

And omg my moms giving me money for no apparent reason. How  great is that. So  Megan and I are going shopping today! Even though we both feel like crap. Yah! Although if megan manages to injure herself while we’re  out  today…..grrrrrr.
