When D and I got married in 2008 our friend Reverend Dave presided over the ceremony. He’s an "intuitive healer." Now you know me. I’m so no-nonsense. I don’t really think Reverend Dave is magic. But he does have a lot of insight.
We’ve been talking a lot lately because you know. My mind is in a tug of war. He told me that I’m invested in the "victim" story. He said that i have to set my intention on the complete and total recovery of my back. That I cannot accept Invalid as a possibility for myself. That I should accept nothing less than a complete recovery. All other thoughts are wasteful.
I’m in a tug of war, trying to follow Reverend Dave’s advice. Sometimes I can do it. Sometimes I can’t. It takes a while for a habit to change.
