i gots the vd all over me

Still feeling like crap on a stick today. A doo-doo stick if you will. The kind my sister chased me around the yard with when we were children — you know, back when I was physically capable of running. Anyhoo– long story short, D and I exchanged VD gifts tonight. I made him dinner and gave him a shirt from Barney’s co-op (which he will exchange – but that’s fine. His sensibilities are very difficult to peg. Very hard to buy for.) He presented me with a printed out page upon which was our reservation information for the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa in 2 weeks. We’re going to be in the Shangri-La suite. Can you imagine?

So lavish. He said we needed to get away. It’s an hour and a half. I can make the ride up there if we stop periodically. The decor’s a little on the Republican side for me but it will be comfortable and cozy. Plus we don’t have TV at home so we can watch the Oscars in the hotel!
Yeah, I may have chronic pain and be facing a slow slide toward permanent disability but my husband sure does love me…for now.

He loves you because he knows he’s the lucky one. All will turn out alright, my friend.

Oh, for pete sake, just say thank you to D show him your appreciation as best you can and stop with the kvetching already. D sounds like a wonderful guy, do you think he would do all this for someone he *didn’t* love? He’s nuts about you. I should be so lucky.

It looks just WONDERFUL to me. Have a massage for me! (what i wouldn’t give! *sigh*) something to look forward to.

Nice!

Don’t knock the Republicans for the decor. Hippy-chic/urban industrial/geek-tech modern/what-the-hell-is-it-but-it’s-artistic-furniture gets old too. Gimme some Egyptian-cotton sheets and tub I can do laps in.
