apollonia 6

I’ve been working on a pitch for the TV series based on Sharon Oreck’s book "Video Slut." Keep in mind it’s sort of Glee meets Mad Men set in 1984. The storyline I’ve come up with is that the main character, a young single mom/video producer is mortified when her 8 year old daughter sings "Sex Shooter" at her school’s talent show. Sharon has been trying for weeks to develop the video for the remarkably untalented Apollonia 6 (More of a 3 — and that’s being generous) and has ignored her daughter more than usual. The daughter picks this song, the song her mother’s been studying at home in her off hours trying to crack, as her talent show number because it’s "mommy’s favorite song."
As it turns out, Sharon has a breakthrough watching her daughter sing this horrible song. "We’ll go the nymphette route!" Teddy bears and nighties, the scandalous twist of underage sexuality becomes the selling point for no-talent Apollonia. Sharon makes money to keep the lights on at home but at what cost? Selling her soul to MTV.

And seriously, could this video be any worse?

I love how the song doesn’t even start until a minute and a half in. Such a dramatic lead-in for a crappy song!

I just want you to know that I’ve been through surgery – i had it when i was 12 years old for scoliosis. I had hooks fused to my vertebrae so they could attach two stainless steel rods to either side of my spine to straighten it out. I had 2 curves that totaled over 100 degrees. I don’t know much about herniated discs, but I know about surgery and back pain. cont…

…I’m 30 years old and I still deal with back pain – especially because my mid and upper back are so well supported. One suggestion I have is to see a chiropractor that specializes or uses Koren Specific Technique therapy http://www.korenspecifictechnique.co.uk/KST.php cont…

cont… The reason I suggest that is because my chiropractors now are able to adjust more specific areas without “popping” or “cracking” my bones to adjust them. I have less pain daily than I did when I was seeing a “traditional” chiropractor. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I know what back pain is like – and I know how difficult it is to deal with. Much <3 to you!
