Winter

I know not many people love winter and quite frankly hate it. I love winter and hate summer. I really don’t like being outside and toasted in the 100+ degree heat here (I couldn’t live in the old South without the AC :-P).

It’s weird…

I’ve lived in the South all my life and yet I take winter kind of like someone who’s lived in the North all their life. This past Sunday, my mom warned me to get my BIG coat because it was “cold” outside. The cold was the kind where you could get away with wearing long sleeves. Truly, my mom can not stand the cold weather.

The thing I love about winter is the fact that it gives you the chance–or excuse if you want to look at it–to be romantic with the one you love. Think about it. The two of you snuggled by the fire, wrapped around in a blanket and sipping hot cocoa. Hehe my brother-in-law has a fondness of roaring up the old chimney in our house ^_^. Anyway, when Liz and I were together, we shared an evening of cuddling by the warm fire. Also, you get the opportunity to bury yourself under hundreds of blankets while you’re sleeping in bed. That would be suicide in the summer :-P.

Another thing about winter, is that we learn to appreciate the healing power of spring. Everything is dead during the winter; in the spring, the plants, trees, and nature is resurrected to fully blossom again. I also love how nature paints a pretty picture. She can be pretty cruel to us southeners though. Everytime snow is predicted, it never snows *pouts*. Ah well.

About last entry…I really love this place. If I did leave, I would have too many faves to ask for a reader password :-P. I’d also lose touch with over half of them. The only people I regulary speak too, would be Sarah, and Jocelyn. Don’t worry about me leaving. I was just considering the fact that the DM hasn’t been very quick about his/her services so I just expressed my concern. Well, I’m going to go have a great day. And don’t forget about the importance of winter :-P.

If you love winter so much, move up here to Chicago, you would LOVE it here. I have to go now, because I have to go outside and scrape the ice and snow off the car windows and turn on the car so it is moderately warm so I can leave in 20 minutes. 🙂

no, move up here to Canada! *smiles* I love the winter, it’s such a pretty season. The blue blue sky you only get on days with -20C temperatures, the sharp white snow on rooftops and tree branches, the sparkle of icicles, the blue where the snow is hiding from the sun.. it’s a beautiful world, indeed. hugs,
