The Wedding
The wedding started at approximately 5 p.m. The ceremony was brief, but it was good. I had to sit in a chair off to the side. I got to a great view of the pianist. Anyway, my family and I came in a little late and that’s why I got the chair. We came in before the bridemaids and groomsmen had marched in. There weren’t any long or boring moments during the wedding. It was kinda funny though. April, my cousin and the bride, couldn’t get the ring on Kenneth’s, her husband, finger. Anyway, the two soloists were very good. Soon after that, the wedding was over :-).
Then, we headed back to Covington for the reception.
The reception was nice, but it was time consuming. They set up a system where two tables would go at a time. Keep in mind, there must have been about 20 tables in the whole ball room. Each table represents a quality that needs to be present in a marriage. The table I sat in was “honor”. My parents sat in the table “forgiveness”.
I saw my old friend Shawn Smith from middle school. He was the star center at our cross town rival high school. Anyway, he’s at some college in TN. Then, I saw Ashley Petershiem. We graduated together last year; she works with April and was invited to the wedding. Small world eh?
The food was good. I had rice, rolls, and ham. Amber didn’t want to leave my mom and dad the whole time. Everytime I went to walk her around, she’d cling to my parents as much as possible while raising a fit. Aerial, on the other hand, kept running around and becoming active.
After everyone was served, they toasted to the bride and groom. Then, the bride and groom said a few words back to whomever. We left just as they were cutting the cake.
On other news, the guys finished the storage building so that’s all done. And that’s about it.
Hey hun… sorry I haven’t noted in a while, thingsa have been happeing… I have a new diary, though I don’t know if I’ll keep writing in it, it’s unseen angel. *hugs* Hope things are good with you.
