The Latest OD Occurances

Lately, I’ve read that a few number of people are fed up with OD and want to go to a different number of places (Livejournal and HTML Help’s new diary service). I don’t know what all the problems were with OD, but I have enjoyed my experience here.

I migrated to OD about a year ago because I thought that FOD would go under anytime soon. Ever since then I have throughly enjoyed OD. I have met a lot of cool people here and have known them for over 5 months. The layout here is awesome and it’s not cluttered in any way. What I like is the fact that you look at a tab and you see a lot of options; you look up read diaries and you see things like random entry, weekly theme, etc.

My best friend showed me inthewire.com. The founder was a diarist here at FOD and decided to make his own diary service. It’s quite identical to FOD except the front page is just…out there. There’s no real organization and I haven’t really met anyone new. I do like the feature where you see how many people have read your entry.

Anyway, I remember that OD went down that one time for several days in a row. It was very annoying at that time, but other sites go down too. I am a frequent user of OD. In fact, I check my diary about 2-3 times a day because I have a lot of faves who love to update. I just don’t really write in my diary much because of three reasons: I like notes, I don’t have much to say sometimes, and I know how it feels for someone to have to read through multiple entries. I could have written those three days into three separate entries, but I wanted to make it all one special entry ^_^.

I hope that OD continues to stay afloat because I love this place. And on that note, I need to get going.

I love OD, and prefer it over any other diary site that I’ve seen so far. I’ve no intention of leaving.

I was checking out that website by the former ODer (is it in the wire? inthewire? you know what I mean) and the one thing I didn’t like about it was the fact you couldn’t search for diarists. If you can, I didn’t see it. What I liked was the options for notes, or the fact that only people on your friends list could read your diary. That would be a nice improvement to OD.

I love it here too… I think of it as my “home” as corny as that probably sounds. The people here are awesome and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I don’t know what I would’ve done if I had not found this site… it has saved me in many ways. I will continue to call OD my home… my place of sanctitude. I hope it stays afloat as well.

Try changing your background pattern. Just give it a shot. Oh, and go to the diaries of Linnaea & LadyBlackDragon. These are two of but 30 or so diarists who can’t write in their new diaries at all. The DM silenced a writer who was trying to get to the bottom of things and figure out why he isn’t fixing the problems here…

…and why he’s ignoring emails when rapid response to emails was one of the selling points of OD. He took the time to come here and erase her diary, but he hasn’t fixed anything that’s wrong here. And he’s taking people’s money and just sitting on it.

*sticks tongue out at you showing you her new shiny* *hugs*

….hmm…i’m not to familier with these sites yet…but they do seem to be pretty cool….moving right along….i’m gonna warp to the next entry now…..:::disappears into thin air:::
