Ridiculous

I was watching the Judge Mathis show and there was a case involving a teacher and a sixth grade student. That’s right, a teacher vs. a sixth grade student. The teacher alledgedly claimed that he vandalized her car after school one day. In fact, she was 100% certain he did it.

She began and stated what he did and presented a police report confirming this. She then went on and said that she had a word from a police officer describing the incident. However, she did not have any solid evidence linking the student to the incident. The student was represented along with his father.

When it was his turn, Judge Mathis asked the student to approach the stand and they would have a little talk. The judge asked some basic info on how the student was doing in school. The student’s father said that he was a B, C student and was pulling his grade up. After questioning, the student said that he had never seen the teacher, nor had any reason to mess up her car (the charges were over $2,000).

The teacher started saying that he was with his peers and that’s why he targeted her car. Judge Mathis had asked her if she had called her students, any of the principals or the student himself. She said that she never did that. What was sooo funny was that the father provided a written letter from the vice principal saying that three other students had been contained and disciplined. The teacher tried to deny that; the judge was pissed. He went on a tirade and just screamed his displeasure at the teacher. At the end, he asked her if she was trying to ruin his life. Guess what her reply was.

“No I’m not trying to ruin his life.”

How the heck are you going to bring in a 6th grade student with NO evidence, no witnesses and nothing to make your story stick? You want him to pay over $2,000 for damages that he has never done. How ridiculous is that?
