My trip

I must start off by saying I was extremely agitated that I couldn’t go to the game Friday. What made it even worst was that I was home the whole time while the game was going on! My brother-in-law didn’t get home until like 9 or so. We finally left for Myrtle Beach around 11:04 p.m.; we reached Myrtle Beach around 5 in the morning and we slept for the night. During this whole trip, I didn’t get to sleep as well as I wanted. The first night, my mom slept with me on the pull-out bed in the living room (my sister and her husband were sleeping in the bedroom as well as Amber and Aerial in another bed; my dad slept in a chair). I am short so I don’t need a whole lot of space on the bed, but I do not want to be in a position where I have only a corner to sleep in.

Anyway, my mom ended up sleeping at the foot of the bed so I was good for the time being. The next day, we got up around 9 something and headed out to breakfast. Jocelyn was fixated on having Denny’s but we couldn’t find it. Darryl had found a Shoney’s and we were going to go there, but he goes down further and finds Mamy’s kitchen. My mom wanted to stop there because the one where I live is pretty good. All of us got the breakfast buffet. The waitress we had wasn’t a good one. In fact, when Darryl asked for cheese, she gives him shredded cheese you would find in the cheese section of the store. It wasn’t melted or anything so we couldn’t use them for cheese eggs. The pancakes were smaller than a CD disk; the bacon didn’t look like it was well-down; it was a disaster basically.

After that, we headed to this outlet center and hung out there for awhile. I got a new pair of shoes and shorts from Reebok so that was nice. They had a special where if you buy two pair of shoes, you will get the third pair free ^_^. Everyone but Darryl and Amber got new pairs of shoes hehe. Then, this lady showed us a product that works wonders on jewelry and returns them to their original state. Darryl thinks she was a con though *shrugs*.

Then, we were heading back to our hotel but Darryl wanted to buy some peaches. After that, we went back to our hotel and everyone wanted to go to the beach except me. As I wrote in my last entry, I wanted to spend time studying so I could get something done. I am proud of myself because I know half of the material on the American Government test. (Speaking of which, I took my Human Communication test but I didn’t study much. Coincidently, I was the first one to finish–go figure). Anyway, after that, we wanted to see the movie Barbershop but it was sold out -_-. Before that, we headed to Pizza Hut and that was satisfying. The waitress had a positive attitude, the food was good, and everyone had a great time :-).

Since the movie was sold out, we walked around Broadway to fill the time. There’s this place where you can make your music video while singing a popular song like in karoake. Well, during this one song, this guy decides to pole dance like dancers. He got some laughs and stuff like that. I went into one of the biggest bars/arcades I have ever seen. They had like 4 football games going at the same time! It was quite interesting.

After that, we went to Wal-Mart Supercenter and bought some stuff but nothing of interest happened there. Then we headed on to the hotel.

This night, my dad and I slept together and Amber decided to join in as well. I did not sleep well that night. For one, my dad was kinda in my way. Amber took over my pillow as well so I woke up around 7 and was quite annoyed. I decided to sleep at the foot of the bed so that worked a little until Amber decided to sleep on the pillow! I gently moved her so she wouldn’t wake up and I slept until it was 9. Then, it was checkout.

We spent time eating at IHOP and the food was great! Great waitress+great food=happy family :-). Anyway, then, Darryl spent time getting some shorts because my genius brother-in-law was wearing pants instead of shorts *rolls eyes*. He spent a good bit of time in the Reebok store. After that, we headed back to Broadway much to my dismay. Had they left around that time, I would have been able to go back to my dorm yesterday evening instead of early this morning. Instead, they went to Broadway and spent time there. Actually, we didn’t spend a lot of time because Mother Nature was threatening to rain on our parade (she had a pretty good rain going while we were in the boat). Anyway, we finally left around 3.

Amber is sooooo cute. We were in the backseat and I was blowing a raspberry and she did too. What cracked me up was that she had her pacifier in her mouth and there would be times where she would spit it out and we would laugh. It got to the point where if I stuck my tongue out, she would do it. She can say the words “thank you”, “please” (pwease), “huh” (eh), “Joseph” (joguh), “mama”, “Aerial”, “juice” (she loves saying that word now), and I think that’s it.

That was my time spent @ Myrtle Beach :-).

Wow, that seems like a busy weekend. Aww at your niece! I’m not sure if you said how old she is, but how old is she? Umm..You have Peek for Amer Gov right? I just a word of warning that if you have class in UL, the room was so cold that you could literally hang meat in there. I’m hoping that they will fix it because it was COLD. I also had a question regarding the study guide, but of course I

(con’t) can’t remember it now, but could I email you when I look up my question? I’ve been to every lecture and I take decent notes but sometimes he would lower his voice or turn in the other direction and I would miss some of what he said. If not it’s cool. (sorry this is such a long-winded note)
