I’ll Say Dang What a movie

I went and saw Drumline today. As a member of my old high school’s drumline, I appreciated what I got to see today. There’s nothing like the drumline bringing the crowd to their feet. I was completely amazed and nearly had tears in my eyes hehe.

It was filmed in Atlanta and one of the big high schools here, Southwest Dekalb, was used in this film. In fact, the uniforms are from S.W. Dekalb. The fictional band is made up of members from S.W. Dekalb mainly. The band director helped make the music.

Could you imagine being Orlando Jones? Just a couple of years ago, he was the spokesperson for the 7-Up commercial. Anyway, one of the coolest features of the movie came at the drum off between Morris Brown University and Atlanta A&T University. A&T’s drumline had a feature where the bass drum players placed their drums on the ground; they then proceeded to drum lying down! Then, they placed their drums over their heads while some other players drummed on the basses. I was quite impressed!

I don’t really have much else to say unfortunately. I did take down the Christmas tree this morning :-(. It brings me much joy at untangling lights hehe. Well goodnight.

hey!!!! Drumline looks like a good movie and I saw this show about them making the movie. You have to have so much patience and just this complete love and dedication for it i really admire those people welp i hope to talk to you laters P.S sorry i just quickly left earlier my AOL kicked me out and it wouldnt let me back online 🙁

Err, I think you have… I just haven’t submitted it yet… I need to do that next week! But I’m going to take it to school to have my english teacher edit it.

I will probably appreciate the movie as well since I used to be a former “band nerd” so to say. I will take your recommendation and go see it. Take care….
