Going Away

I am twelve hours away from my Myrtle Beach getaway :-). I have to go by Ana’s house first, pick up the rental car, and make our way towards Myrtle Beach for three days and two nights. We both agreed we needed this break a long time ago. I have not been to Myrtle Beach since 2009, and it was my dad’s favorite place to go for a trip.

Now for a bit of catch up.

Crystal invited me to hang out with her and her family two weeks ago. The initial plan was to play bingo followed by a trip to the bowling alley. Bingo was cancelled, so we ended up going bowling in north Atlanta. Crystal and her family were taking their time to get ready, so I took the opportunity to play her dog Oreo :-).

On our way to the bowling alley, there was a huge accident involving tractor trailers. The accident blocked our way, so we were forced to turn around and find another way to the alley. Once there, we all had a blast. I especially loved how adults could play free games after 10 p.m. on the weekends. There were seven of us playing, so we were only able to play a game and a half before the place closed down for the night. Here are some pics from that night.

On a sad note, Fe and I are over. Basically, our third date ended up being the deal breaker. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I realized she is high maintenance and expects to be babied. Here’s what I mean. For the first two dates, I paid for everything with no problem because that’s what a gentleman does anyway. For some reason, she decided to use the third date to test me.

Before the game started, she got up and asked if I wanted anything to eat. I told her I would like pizza and water to which she said she was fine about it. What I didn’t know was this was a test from her. In her mind, I was supposed to immediately jump up and say I would take care of the food. She was upset that I didn’t pay her back and for assuming she had the money in the first place. And then, she was mad I didn’t go with her to the concession stand like all the other couples. However, she mentioned that I was being too smothering(?).

If you’ve been on two dates with a guy, and he’s paid for everything, why pull this kind of mind game?

At any rate, what really made me upset was the fact that she was an hour late for breakfast. She wanted to meet at iHop around 10 a.m. and didn’t show up until almost 11:30.

Anyway, I’m going to end this entry with random pics I’ve collected over the past month.

Pizza Hut has a delivery driver who makes his deliveries on a motorcycle. He has a laundry basket tied to the seat. It’s pretty awesome!

Here’s a funny sign. It says, “Wal-Mart Always Low Wages Always!”

Ugh! I hate when I hear things like that about women. They give us all bad names. LMAO at that motorcycle pic that would be Ben! He would do the same thing to his bike if he was delivering. 🙂 which he was when we were dating.
