Go Cruisin’ Together

I finally have some time to write a small update before the football game comes on. Over the past few weeks, I have worked both jobs nearly everyday. It has been tiring. On the other hand, I am finally able to get caught up on all my bills. For the first time in months, I had a zero balance on my power bill. I am planning on leaving Sears in the next few months after I have my resume redone. I also pulled my credit report through Wells Fargo. I am really going to focus on paying off as much debt as possible next year. I will be 30 in over a month. I hope to own a home in the next five years.

A fellow ODer and I have discussed the idea of doing an OD cruise get-together sometime in May. She initially wanted to do it so we could all meet up and put faces with diary names. Every time she would come back from a cruise and write about it, her readers would wonder what’s it like to cruise. She told me that prices for a cruise is fairly inexpensive even for a week-long trip. Everything is included in the initial price except beer. Your room is included as well as food and everything else on the trip. The most expensive part is actually getting to the city where the cruise departs.

The only hang up from her perspective is finding a common departing city that is close enough for people to travel to. Most of our faves are scattered throughout the country. I told her I would go if enough ODers were interested. Even for us single writers, you would still pay for two people in a room. She figured that two single people could get together and split the difference between the two to make it easier. So, what do you guys think?

I am going to get off of here and finish up my laundry and cleaning before the game comes on.
