Finally have something to write about

I’m sorry I have written lately. The reason why I don’t really write is because I want to have a meaningful entry and not a simple one paragraph entry :-P. Usually there are things I want to write, but I end up forgetting half of what I wanted to write (like yesterday).

Last week, I was on AOL when I read the story that a kid had poisoned the boyfriend of the girl he wanted. I don’t remember all the details, but there was a debate on whether or not the Internet should be at fault for what happened. Here’s what I think.

I believe that the internet should not be blamed for actions that occur in the world today. Countless times the internet, music, tv, movies, and video games have been subjected to criticism. I wish parents would take responsibility in their children’s actions.

I scrolled through the topics on the message board and I stumbled upon one called, “I read through my daughter’s e-mail”. A mother wrote that she periodically checks her daughter’s e-mail before her daughter; her daughter doesn’t even know it! Time after time she got responses that said it was wrong for her to spy on her child without permission. I feel the same way because parents shouldn’t monitor their e-mail unless the parent(s) have reason to do so. If their child receives good grades but begins to show signs of bad behavior, that might be a good time to monitor their e-mail. However, if the child continues to maintain their grades and get even higher grades, there should be no reason to monitor their e-mail.

Today, there are lots of ways to get around pornographic material and solicited e-mail–at least, in the home. The parents need to remember to set parental controls, mail controls, and buddy controls to make sure little jimmy and susie won’t be harassed at home. Also, be sure and supervise their activities while they are online.

Anywho, I had a good weekend. I spent Saturday going to and from town. I also got my pics developed and I have them posted in my photo album online:

I looked at some of those stories, but I kind of have a personal interest in them; my step-mother was reading through my OD. If she had told me that she was reading it, sure.. but when I asked my parents and my siblings not to look through it, she promised along with the rest not to. It isn’t as if my schoolwork or social life is suffering. ryn: lol everyone thinks i’m older than i am.. hugs

i can see the good and bad side to what that mother did. Perhapes she had a reason for doing what she did but did not state, but you have to have some level of trust in your children.. that you raised them the best you could and in that that they took in everything you said and know what is right and what is wrong, and know when to get out, if put in a bad situation.

I forgot to come back and tell you how much I enjoyed the pictures you got some great shots!

ryn: lol i’m Gwen, Marie is a ghostie who haunts my OD. She writes in a different colour than I do, and she’s the one who leaves all the paws in the background *nods* – she’s a great friend of mine, too. No one seems to be able to tell if she’s someone I made up, someone who’s actually a friend of mine who likes leaving notes in my diary, or a real ghostie. lol hugs,

Joe your the only one I can ask (man wise) that I know that wont take this as a sexual “move” but can you look at those pics i posted last night and tell me from a man’s point of view if it looks ok? I had to get a 38 instead of a 34..while the cups were right the body of it is a bit loose even on the inner most hooks..did it look like i need to take it back? or did it look ok?
