Facebook

Our trip to Connecticut is still a month away, but I become more excited with each passing day. I am looking forward to *hopefully* visit New York while I’m there. I have been studying the New York subway maps like I’m studying for a Finals Exam lol. It just sucks we’ll only spend a day in New York :-(. I also would have liked to visit Boston since it’s roughly 2 hours from Windsor, CT, but we won’t have time to do that :-(.

Too many members of my family are on my facebook now. I also have a LOT of nosy cousins too who aren’t even on facebook sniffing around my profile. One of my cousins talked to me about my trip to Indy and wanted to know if the girl in the pic was my girlfriend. Ever since then, I’ve restricted all of my family members from seeing content on my profile. The only thing they can see is my info, notes and a couple of photos. They can’t even see my wall or most of my photos. That’s why I rarely post anything on facebook anymore.

That’s also one of the main reasons why I would rather write in my diary. This is also the only place where I can freely write what’s on my mind. I used to didn’t care about what I posted until recently.

Anyway, I figured I would pop in here for a quick update. My nieces spent the day with us, and it’s time for me to take them home.

I am a firm believer of not having family members on my facebook. Just because I like to keep some part of my life private.

If you want another option, you can make groups to block people when you post a status. I use them all the time. So if you want to post a status you don’t want to family to see, when you type in your status, you just hide it from that group — i have one for my family, miles’ family, ex co-workers, etc. if you need help, let me know. You’ll be fine in NYC. There’s maps everywhere in the city 🙂
