Christmas
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We didn’t do anything special on Christmas day. My sister didn’t have her Christmas gathering until Monday, and unfortunately, that was the day I had to go back to work :-(. Sunday, we went to my cousin’s house for dinner. She had ribs, turnip greens, cornbread, peas, turkey, ham, and okra. We didn’t exchange gifts, but I had a pretty good time regardless. I also called my uncle in California to wish him a Merry Christmas.
I had to work on my birthday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. I received plenty of happy birthday wishes on fb and through text messages. My nieces came over later that night to wish me a happy birthday; Amber gave me $1 :-). She wanted to spend some time with me, so she downloaded Angry Birds on my phone lol. She then asked if I had a girlfriend and asked if I was still seeing Amber. They left around 7, and I stayed home for the evening.
Once again, the weather has been unpredictable the past few days. We’ve had highs in the 60’s most of the week.
Another development that is happening now is the fact that Sears has started closing more than 100 stores. As of yet, our store is not one of them. However, the news report has only listed about 75 of the 120 stores closing. They are not only closing down Sears stores, but they are also closing K-Mart stores too. It has been all over the news lately, and I know there are about 6 stores closing in GA, but most of them are mall stores.
Anyway, I’m about to head out and grab some sleep.
