Choices…

As of earlier today, I decided to skip both of my classes tomorrow. I have a couple of reasons but I’ll get to that in a second.

Last night, I noticed how cluttered my dresser looks so I decided to rearrange some things. When I did that, I placed my room key on the side of the mirror. I went to bed shortly after that.

I woke up this morning around 7:30 and proceeded to get ready and head to GSU. I was daydreaming when I realized I didn’t have my room key! I have my roomkey on a necklace so I would always have it with me. However, I just forgot about it today. I tried calling my mom to get her to bring it to me, but she said the weather was too bad (it was raining). So, I decided to come to my dorm and at least get the CA to unlock my door for me. I could get a temporary key but I would be sanctioned. I also hoped that one of my roommates would leave the living room door unlocked; no such luck on that account *pouts*.

So, I walked towards GSU when the bus came. It takes about 30 minutes to navigate Atlanta to get to GSU from the Village. However, I just said screw it and got on the bus. I ate at Burger King and stopped by the computer lab to use the comp. Then, I returned back to my dorm and luckily, Justin left the living room door unlocked (as usual). Around 6, I called the CA to let her know I was locked out. She unlocked the door for me so I’ve been in here ever since.

I also ordered a pizza and asked a good friend of mine Steph if she wanted to come over and get something to pizza. She agreed :-). It was fun.

Anyway, I’m not going to my two classes tomorrow for two reasons: 1)I don’t care about intro to mass communication anymore, 2)I just don’t feel comfortable leaving my door unlocked for a lengthy period of time. What I’m going to do is leave here around 1:45 and come back around like 6ish. Hopefully, everyone will keep the living room door unlocked until I get back. I might hide my valuables somewhere though…

It’s been raining a lot lately and I like it! The leaves are sooo green and it’s just wonderful! I wrote a note to *PureJoy*’s diary about the snow up in the North: “apparently, Mother Nature didn’t get the memo that it is Spring. Sucks eh?

when i lived in the dorm i was always misplacing my keys, or locking them in the bathroom or other stupid stuff like that. luckily, my ways have changed.

Oh, and borrowing a room key isn’t too much trouble. I worked at the Village desk last year. I think you get to borrow it for free up to 3 times a semester for 1 day at a time. If you don’t plan on losing it again, I suggest you try that. And if you wait until the desk is closed, the CA on duty has to unlock the door for you. I can share ways of avoiding the system over there. 😉 ~Sara
