Chicago Day 4
Sorry for the lack in updating. I have had a crazy week work-wise. I worked from 11:45-6 Sunday, 2-9:15 Monday, off Tuesday, had to work from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday AND Thursday thanks to inventory. I work tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 3 and 8 until 1:45 Saturday.
This will also be my last week working receiving at Sears. Next week, I will transfer to the Home Improvement department as a commissioned salesman. I will receive an hourly rate as well. I really wanted to make the switch because I am making minimum wage, and Home Improvement is one of the big money making departments.
Anyway, here’s the final recap from my Chicago trip.
Check-out was at 12, so I woke up around 8 a.m. and decided to make one more trip to downtown Chicago before going to the airport. I actually didn’t do much sightseeing though. I finally explored the Riverwalk, went back to Lake Michigan, and just enjoyed another gorgeous early morning/afternoon in Chicago.
I had one more serving of Chicago pizza before heading back to the hotel to pick up my luggage. The courtesy van took me to the airport, but I still had three hours to kill before my flight. I was shocked at how sparse power outlets were at O’Hare airport. Both my phone and tablet were about to die, so I spent about 30 minutes just trying to find a regular power outlet.
My flight was scheduled to depart from Chicago around 7:30 cst. I received notification that my flight would arrive at another gate, and it was delayed roughly 30 minutes. The coolest part of O’Hare was the automatic toilet seat cover heh.
We actually made it to Atlanta earlier than expected. I told my aunt to pick me up around 10:45, but they didn’t come until 11 lol. The ride home was uneventful. I slept like a baby before going back to work the next day.
On to the pics.

Great pics! I’ve been to Chicago once briefly. Twice, actually because once I had a layover in O’hare airport going into Saint Louis. Looks like you had a good time.

Good pictures. You should have taken a picture of the automatic toilet seat covers! Never heard of that before, LOL. How does that even work?! Awww, I love the one of the statues of the 3 guys and the poor old man sitting out there… so sad and bittersweet looking, like there is a story there to be told of his life…
