“Bye”, “Later”, “Cya Later”

Those are three ways to inform someone that the conversation between you two are finished for the time being. For a good while, I’ve only used “Cya later”, or “Talk to you later”–TTYL for short. I’ve only seen later written and spoken recently. Here’s the reason for the entry.

I don’t like saying the word ‘bye’ or ‘goodbye’ because that kinda implies you would never see that person again. Also, bye sounds kind of, dull. I think more creative ways of saying bye would be better like “catch you on the flip side” or something like that.

On the other hand, I don’t like later because that just sounds rude. Later can also be said in a not so friendly tone (at least, that’s what I interpret). I know a few diarist who writes ‘later’ at the end of their diary entry or when I talk to them online.

I prefer to say ‘Cya later’ or TTYL because it’s friendly, and it’s a positive way to tell them bye.

My mom, and my good friend Holly wonder why I don’t say bye to them on the phone. Actually, my sister does too. Usually, they’ll be like, ‘I’ll talk to you later” (or whatever) and I go *click*. Not to be rude or anything, but I just don’t like saying bye.

I don’t like saying goodbye either. Instead of haning up you could always say until next time or something. *shurgs* just a suggestion.

Wow…I’m never going to say ‘Bye’ to you over MSN again *laughs*!

i know exactly how you feel. *hugs* much love ~*<3*~

I usually tell people to Be Well =)Idont like to say goodbye either

RYN: thanks for your support at my diary. It means alot to me. More than you could ever guess. I know it was a sign and probably a good one that Brian and I didn’t end up together. At least for right now it wasn’t a good idea. But I really do appreciate the support. TTFN (tah-tah for now!)

Check ya later dude!
