Birthday blues

So today is my 28th birthday, but it hasn’t been an enjoyable one. My day yesterday was pretty well. I was able to send off last minute Christmas cards and finish up last minute shopping. I wanted to grab something to eat before heading home, so I settled on El Charro’s. Keep in mind, my lower right wisdom tooth was acting just fine all day long.

As soon as I came home and took a shower, my right jaw starting hurting like hell. The pain would continue all throughout the evening, and I tried to make it to Kroger’s, but I couldn’t deal with the pain anymore. I came right back home and grabbed a tall cup of cold water to help with the pain. I went to Kroger’s to get some Orajel, but unfortunately, that didn’t help alleviate the pain at all. The only thing that worked is swishing around cold water near the wisdom tooth area. I thought it would be a good idea to go to bed early, but my misery would only continue.

I could lay down maybe 5 minutes before the pain would flare up again. I ended up spending more time in front of the bathroom sink than I did my own bed. As a result, I couldn’t sleep at all last night. I ended up getting out of bed for good around 8 a.m. Unfortunately, I’m still having a hard time staying awake. The pain has subsided somewhat. I’m waiting on my sister to bring me some Aleve. I really hope I’ll feel better because she wants to take me out to O’Charley’s for my birthday. Anyway, I am about to head off and try to take a nap.
