A House, A House, My Apartment For A House

“The voyage of discovery is not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.” ~Marcel Proust

My life is crazy, par usual. There is so much to write about and I don’t know how much I will have in me to write tonight. I’m half way into a bottle of cheap champagne, and the second half of it is sounding even better.

I bought a house. Actually, that is an understatement. I built a house. After two years at my job and living in an apartment, I built a house. I was able to move in on September 26th and it has been phenomenal. I have a dog as well. His name is Dobbie and he is a cross between a German Shepherd and a Collie. I rescued him from the Humane Society. He came with that name and he is an angel. He currently resides at my parents house, due to the fact that I don’t have a fence.

I had a housewarming party for my house last weekend. It was so fun. I had some people from work there and a lot of friends and family. I can honestly say that I was surprised by the turnout, but it definitely showed me that I was loved. I think there were at least 35 people that came. It was a constant flow and I was very happy.

I have so much that I want to write about. I spent the summer on the road for work. I spent 6 weeks at our sister company and it was an interesting experience. I’ll write about it within the next week. While down there, I got to go on another road trip with Lenin, who I still have a major crush on.

I’ve joined a group that promotes volunteer work within the community. There are days where I love this organization and other days that I absolutely despise it. However, it comes with the territory.

Big C is still in Boston, Julie is a lesbian with a girlfriend, Harvey is dating Harvey and I have a nephew. My life is still crazy and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.

Gonna jet, but plan on writing more in the next day or two. Perhaps I’ll finish the business trip story.
