Who needs 40 minutes of free long distance calls?
I just received a "settlement" from a class action suit against Verizon (my wireless carrier) for 40 minutes of domestic long distance calling.
The description they sent was:
The PIN enables you to enjoy 40 Calling Units to make domestic or international long distance phones calls. 1 unit = 1 minute of domestic US calling, and the number of units needed to make international calls varies according to the country you are calling (for example, a 1 minute call to a landline in the United Kingdom uses 2 units). Completed calls are rounded to the next full minute.
As I have free, unlimited long distance with both my home and mobile phones, this does nothing for me.
Can anyone use it? If so, leave me a private note and I will forward you the PIN and dialing instructions.
First come, first served.
My guess is that there is someone out there who could use the minutes more then me so I will bow out. Plus I would only use the minutes to call some of my old colleagues in the UK. You are very nice to offer the minutes to someone who could use them. I hope that you & Lady Wife are doing well.
