They don’t make anything like they used to…

And that includes simple things like Half & Half.  I opened a carton last week that had an expiration date of 2/24.  Went to use it today, and it was going off.

Because of the warmer-than-usual weather, the ducks have decided it’s Spring and gone on a laying bender.  Innundated with eggs, Lady Wife and I baked 10 quiches this morning and sent them off to neighbors and the waterfowl park staff for lunch.  It also gave us the opportunity to finish off a large wheel of Basque d’Argental cheese that was taking up space.

A friend sent out a clip of Mitt Romney’s policy regarding poverty.  I think I agree!

I hope that what you meant was that you agree that the clip sounds like Romney’s policy and not that you agree with the policy itself.

That was funny.

It’s happened to us too–finding curdled milk which has a good “best before” date. My husband says he was told the receiving guys leave the off-loaded crates sitting around a long time before they get around to putting them in refrigeration.

The more I follow the latest political rallies, the more crazy the candidates look to me.

It may be different where you are, but here (England) the expiration date only applies to an unopened product. Usually with dairy once it’s opened it has to be used within 3 days, no matter what the date on it. It’s probable that if you hadn’t opened it last week, it would have been fine when you went to use it this week.
