Saw this one coming…

Just got off the phone with a friend, who informed me that JB, a mutual acquaintance, is getting divorced again. This is his second marriage (hers as well), and it did last 7 years. But there Is an 18 year age difference, and she brought pre-teen children along as baggage. His children from his first marriage are grown and independent.

They were a rather odd mix to begin with, as she had a vivacious, outgoing personality while he’s a somewhat dour Dutchman. We know many lovely DutCh people, but let’s face it, Party Animal is not a sobriquet often used in conjunction with that nationality. I think the obvious warning sign was that she started getting a LOT of plastic surgery 2 years ago. Breasts, face, tummy tuck, etc. The fact that he’s an orthopedic surgeon helped with connections to the good cosmetic guys.

So we’ve been asked to include him at gatherings, dinner parties, etc. to help keep up his spirits. He’s a nice enough fellow, but doesn’t contribute much to the evenings. Still, if it’s theraputic, there’s always room for one more.

RYNote. 600 pieces seems a little intimidating after just the one class, the class room is a little small for the 12 of us, so we are limited to A4 and NO bigger! Next week we shall see some lead work, and have time to assemble the parts we have. I have some ideas for my project, I had started on that before the first class, Ive had the go ahead with a few pointers; you cant do right angles

Was she the elder partner, hence the plastic work! Or perhaps if he. no! At the University we had a few Nordic students, always hard working [Though not a much as the Chinese] reserved is there thing, once through that they have fun, could you friend be home sick

You are great friends! What happens to her now? Will she have to find a new circle of friends. Hopefully she has one already.

Eighteen years difference and pre teen kids??? Wonder if he had a prenuptial agreement…sad all way around. RYN: That wallpaper in my front room is from Bradbury & Bradbury. (http://www.bradbury.com/) I can’t look at commercial wallpaper anymore.. they have spoiled me!
