So, another revolution around Sol Invictus has occurred, making me another year older. It’s all relative, as some days I feel 18, and others, 85. I share the day with Robert Downey Jr. and Graham Norton, apparently. Today is National Walking Day as well, but it’s been raining in Manhattan all day, so not conducive to a stroll. Predictions have it ending at 3:00PM, so perhaps a leisurely walk to dinner tonight. (It’s also International Carrot Day, National Cordon Bleu Day, and Whole Grain Sampling Day.)

My Grandfather’s birthday, also! Happy Birthday, late. Hope it was to your liking, and that you continue to celebrate with fun, frivolity, and festivities!
My kid, who has lived in NYC for the last 7 years, remarked upon his last visit to KC that he felt his “New York” persona surface while getting his luggage, and getting on the shuttle to the car rental place; getting annoyed at people taking their sweet time getting on and off the bus…
@onlysujema Glad to hear he has adapted! The bad news is, it never leaves you. The NYC pace becomes part of you, and the rest of the world in the slow lane gets on your nerves.

Happy birthday! The only time I went to Staten Island was to visit the Children’s Museum when Archie turned 50.
