Free time…
It snowed again yesterday, so we are at enforced seclusion today. It’s back in the 50’s tomorrow, so it will be a short-lived isolation, but the 1/2 mile driveway is impassible, as are the local roads. The peacocks and guinea-fowl, who roost in trees at night, do not like the snow either. Rather than come down to ground level to feed, they will fast for the day, and stay up on a roof, gazing disdainfully over the bleak landscape.
I shall follow their lead, and curl up with Lady Wife, the dogs, and my reading for the day.
An excellent plan!

Just look at that peacock up on the roof! I had no idea they would do that but now that I think about it, why not? Smiles.

We have a neighbor about a mile away from us (We live in the city limits, he does not) who has peacocks and guinneas. They are surely the noisiest two birds known to man!
@dlk082244 The peacocks are vocal during their breeding season, about 10-12 weeks. Other than that they are pretty silent. The guineafowl can be loud, but never without cause. They are the best alarm system we have ever owned. Nothing happens on the property without them alerting us.
