A good Auspex is hard to find…

The warm weather today has the avian population in the area flocking in abundance.  Unfortunately there are no ancient Romans available to take the auspices, so I merely enjoyed their aerial acrobatics and coordination.  Today is close to 70°F, with the Sunday forecast back to the low 30’s.  Typical winter weather in North Carolina.

Chuckled at the news of President Trump allegedly using the term, “Shithole Countries”.  If he did, it was certainly not couched in the most diplomatic language, but spot-on for accuracy.  Spend a little time in Haiti and most African nations and at some point you will find yourself thinking, “This place is a shithole”.  And it explains why the people from there are so anxious to be elsewhere.  That’s the reason Tourism Director in these countries is such an undesirable job.  Come for the beaches, stay for the dysentery  just isn’t the best marketing campaign.
