wierd day.

today was just… wierd.

This morning Dave and I dragged ourselves out of bed to take the girls to the family movies playing at the Regal for free.  Can’t beat that.  Anyway, I was completely exhausted since this little blonde girl decided to climb into our bed at around 3:30 am, thus ending any consistant sleep for me.. oh well, she’s adorable and I don’t really mind the cuddling now and then.  So anyway, we took Maya, Paige, and my neice, Quinn, to the Regal to see "Everyone’s Hero."  It was cute, nothing special though.  The girls were a bit restless.  The lights for some reason never really went down and I think that made them more comfortable in moving around and whatnot.  Also the movie wasn’t that wonderful so I don’t think it really held their attention.  Dave said that last week for Curious George that they were glued to the screen.. lol!  Whatever, it was fun.

When we got back we were all exhausted… including the blonde.. lol.  So we all took a nap.  Funny that everyone in my house was asleep this afternoon as if it was the middle of the night.  It was nice, but I was soooo groggy afterwards.  So upon the suggestion of an online pal, I made myself some 4pm coffee and I perked up.

Then I started dinner and Dave ran to the grocery store for a few odds and ends.  As soon as Dave got back.. almost instantaneously, I fell down the stairs.  Yeah that’s right.. OUCH!!!  I hit my back HARD on the corners of two different stairs simultaneously..  So, right now, i’m typing while on one of Dave’s painkillers.  For those of you who know me, you know that I have back problems already so just pray that this doesn’t feel as bad in the morning as I think it will.. ugh!  Especially since I have to proctor a long, boring exam tomorrow afternoon.

In other news we had a fantastic dinner tonight.  Spaghetti and homemade meatballs.  I loved the meatballs, they were excellent if i do say do myself. =)  Just to share, I don’t fry my meatballs as most people do, I bake them in the oven for about 15 minutes instead. It saves alot of calories and a big greasy mess!  The only thing i would have changed would have been to make my own sauce, but I was out of crushed tomatoes so we just went with my favorite jar sauce.. Ragu.

I also completed another mission 101 task.. make homemade salsa.  I had a seasoning packet so i’m not sure if it counts or not, but i’m saying it does.  I had a million tomatoes that my Grandpa gave us from his garden so this seemed like a perfect way to use them!  I haven’t had any yet so i’ll let ya know how it turned out.  It’ll be the perfect TV time snack for Dave and I later.

ok that’s all for now i guess.. ttyl!

PS.  I heart my homemade salsa! =)

draw a hot bath and place some dead sea salts, or bath salts or epsom salts to draw out any inflammation and pain. Soak for 20 min.

yay for salsa!!

Mmmm…I love salsa, you’ll have to let us know if you recommend the recipe! I bake my meatballs too but still haven’t found a recipe that is delicious. They’re just sort of okay.
