Waiting and Overanalyzing..
Ok, so first off, i wanted to say thank you for the interview questions. I fully intended to do as i said and answer them here and get feedback, but since it is summer and i had a 2-day workshop Wed and Thurs, i just didn’t get the chance.
So, anyway, I left my interview feeling so excited. It went really well!! and on the way out, in fact, the lady that was one of my 3 interviewers was walking in front of me to get the next interview turned around to shake me hand. As she was turning around she said "That was phenomenal (i think?, i wasn’t entirely sure that’s what she said) I can’t wait to work with you (Totally heard that part correctly!). So needless to say, i was so excited.
In fact, for one question, "tell us 4 words your students would use to describe you" My first word was corny! LOL But it’s true, my students do think i’m corny, i tell really corny jokes to make them laugh and remember stuff.. Anyway all three of the interviewers chuckled at that one and one of them said "we haven’t heard that one before" so i of course said "well i like to be an original" So, i know that i stood out in a group of people that they were interviewing. (it was a teacher recruitment day for the Buffalo Public Schools)
But of course now the waiting starts……. and continues…. and me with my overly analytical mind is sitting here stressing over every.little.word. said and Question answered during the interview, picking it apart and thinking about how i could have done a better job with the questions, although i do know that i definitely made an excellent overall impression.. . i’m well, i’m worrying..
I really want this positon!!! i want a public school job! grrr. i really think i have run my course at Wyndham Lawn and need to move on… So i’m waiting to see….
yep, you’re definitely corny 😉

I Cant wait for you to announce you got the job!

i’ve been told to write down those questions they asked you, and the answers you used so if/when you interview for a teaching position again, you have a better idea and can prepare for those questions.

Can’t wait to hear how it turns out. Sounds like it went great and they would be silly not to hire you.
