still awake.

I have to get up insanely early tomorrow in order to drop the girls at my sisters house and then be to work by 8.  However here it is almost 11pm and I am still awake.  Probably not a good idea.  Oh well, I couldn’t resist the temptation to write another entry although it will probably be another short one due to my sleep needs.

Anyway,  I got my folder with the 8th grade science "curriculum" in it for summer school today along with some textbooks.  I came home to try to begin planning when I saw that all the "suggested activities" that were in the table thing, were no where to be found.  I don’t know if I will get access to them tomorrow, or i will have to generate my own.  Either way it will be ok, but I didn’t want to spend time planning lessons today that I wouldn’t be using.  Soooo, I only got my rules/policies sheet typed and that was really about it for today.  I hope tomorrow will be more productive.  It should be, we have from 8 until noon tomorrow to plan/meet/set up our classrooms.  It should be good.  And I should be able to meet with the other 3 middle school science teachers to see about those materials.  So I will see, it may be a very busy weekend for me.

In other news, my niece was here for most of the day today.  It was nice. The girls played together very well and after I fed them dinner we took all three of them to the river to get ice cream.  They loved it, and were especially impressed with the ducklings that we saw.  They came up really close to the kids.

oh other good news, I can’t believe I forgot.  Dave got news today that he is getting a substantial bonus from work!!!  It is really nice!! Some of it will be used for a downpayment on a car, we might go looking tomorrow for one.  My aunts both work at a dealership that is actually going out of business, so there are some cars there that are marked way down I guess, so we are going to look there first.  I’m excited.  We are actually replacing Dave’s car, but he will then drive the Sunfire and I’ll get whatever new one we get! yeah!  He doesn’t care, he primarily just drives himself to work and back and picks up the kids on occasion.  I usually have the girls with me, so it just makes more sense.

Lets see, what else?  We switched to DirecTV, so far so good.
