opinions needed.
ok… so dave and I are having a bit of an argument over something and I need some other perspectives.
Soooo, when the Buffalo Bills schedule was announced we all saw that there is a Monday night game against the Dallas Cowboys..(his friend Todd’s favorite team). So then and there we all decided to go… Todd coming up from Columbus, OH with his family, Dave’s other friend Frank, and us.. all together…
Well, altogether doesn’t work very well when the game is already almost sold out and the only tickets that went on sale were to season ticket holders…
Soooooo.. we all looked on ebay..
Todd bought 4 tickets for him his wife and their two children.
We were looking at a set of 3 tickets for Dave, me, and his friend Frank (whose wife apparantly doesn’t want to go.. whatever)
These tickets were like over $100 apiece.. too pricey for me, although Dave apparantly feels that we can spend whatever because we are " only going to one game" makes no sense however, as we rarely go to any games.. basically we can’t afford it..
In the meantime, my aunt and uncle purchased season tickets, and then purchased a bunch of tickets to said game. She had two left to sell and offered them to me for just UNDER $50 each.
So, of course, I said AWESOME!!, we’ll take them..
NOW..
Dave, and his friends apparantly, are all put out because I got these tickets and there is no ticket for Frank. Welllll I say, it’s not our responsibility to make sure that Frank can go when we are not simply calling the ticket office and ordering tickets. Why can’t he find someone else to come along and buy a set of 2 tickets off of ebay? Apparently, this is unacceptable..
I know that he’s dissappointed, but really I am getting TWO tickets for LESS than the price of ONE on ebay this way… AND sets of 3 are hard to come by and more expensive, since tickets are normally sold in even numbers..
Am I horrible?
nope. makes perfect sense to me. if frank wants to go, he should get out there and hunt some tickets down. grown men can be very much like little boys when it comes to sporting events, i’ve found.

Makes perfect sense to me too.

To be honest, no. We go through this EVERY YEAR because we get season tickets to VT games and my BIL always wants to come up to a couple. Well, Billy wants to make it our responsibility to find a third ticket for him. GRRRR. If he wants to come, it is his responsibility to hunt down a ticket, he is an adult, right? I understand that if we are able to come across one then great, buthe should be doing hunting as well… Maybe he could buy the two pack and then sell the one ticket on Ebay or at the game? I know there are always people standing around at the games looking for tickets…

No. I’m assuming Frank is a grown man after all.

No, I don’t think so. Maybe you could ask your Aunt to an extra ticket? If not, just explain it to Frank.

I would be thinking Frank would be paying for his own seat anyway and the only advantage would be that Frank is not alone there which like paying for it would be his problem.
